1929 - 2011
J.P. was born in Sneedville, Tennessee, where he graduated from Sneedville High School in 1947. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from East Tennessee State University in 1951. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Following the war, he and his brother Chester founded many cemeteries in Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia including Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Wadsworth, and Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Brunswick. With his sons, he was the founder of Roberts Funeral Home in Wooster, the first Cemetery / Funeral Home Combination in Ohio.
He was very active in the cemetery industry in Ohio and nationally, serving as president of the Ohio Association of Cemeteries and on the board of the American Cemetery Association. He earned the Outstanding Cemeterian Award in 1988, only the second time it had been presented.
He was a member of Grace Brethren Church and past president of the Madisonburg Lions Club. He served the Wooster community in many ways: raising money and donating thousands of hours to better the community. He enjoyed golf, fishing, travel, and spending time with his ten grandchildren.
Alex P. Roberts

Alex was born in Wooster, Ohio, where he graduated from Wooster High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Miami University. He graduated with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and was president of his fraternity. After serving an apprenticeship under his brother Jeff Roberts he was licensed as a funeral director in 1994.
Alex and his wife Pam live with their two sons in Wooster. He is a member of the Grace Brethren Church in Wooster. Alex also serves the community in the Wooster Noon Lions Club, where he is past president. Alex is also a member of the Ebenezer Lodge #33 F&AM, and Wooster Chapter #27. He has served on several boards including Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce, Wayne County Children Services Board, and the Wooster Noon Lions Club. Alex enjoys spending time with his family, golf, travel, and playing the drums.
Jeffrey P. Roberts

Jeff was born in Kentucky, and graduated from Wooster High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Miami University. Jeff earned his funeral director license in 1988.
Jeff and his wife Michelle live with their daughter Jenna in Wooster. He is a member of the Grace Brethren Church in Wooster where he serves on the high school youth staff and is an usher. Jeff also serves the community in the Kiwanis Club, where he is past president. He has served on several boards including The Red Cross, Grace Brethren Church, the International Cemetery and Funeral Association (ICFA), and United Way. He is a past president of the Ohio Association of Cemeteries (OAC). Jeff enjoys coaching his children’s sporting events, playing tennis, pickleball, and playing with his grandson Cohen.
Kirk D. Roberts

Kirk was born in Wooster, Ohio and graduated from Wooster High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Miami University. After serving his apprenticeship under his brother Alex, Kirk earned his funeral director license in 2000.
Kirk and his two children live in Wooster. He is a member of the Grace Brethren Church in Wooster. Kirk has served on boards including the Ohio Association of Cemeteries, and the Wooster Christian School Board, where he served as President of both organizations. Kirk enjoys spending time with his family, travel, and cooking on the grill.
Gregory W. Roberts
1957 - 2013
Greg was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated from Wooster High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Management from Ashland University.
Greg and his wife Mindy lived in Wooster. He was a member of the Grace Brethren Church in Wooster. Greg was also a 25-year member of the Wooster Rotary Club where he had been an active member of the annual Antique Auction committee. Greg was a past president of the Ohio Association of Cemeteries, and past board member of the International Cemetery and Funeral Association. Greg enjoyed spending time with his family, travel, and golf.

Jarad was born in Wooster, Ohio and graduated from Wooster High School. He earned an Associates of Business Management from Akron University. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. After serving his apprenticeship under Alex Roberts, he became licensed in 2011.
Jarad lives in Wooster and is the son of Jeff and Michelle Roberts. He attends Grace Brethren Church in Wooster. He is a member of the Wooster Kiwanis Club. He enjoys golfing, going to Indians games, and spending time with his family and friends.
Tracy V. Boorom

Tracy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived in Charleston S.C. for fifteen years where she graduated from Wando High School. She has been in the Air Force Reserves for over twelve years and currently holds the rank of Master Sergeant. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Science from Trident Technical College in Charleston, S.C. She also graduated in 2007 with her Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. After serving her apprenticeship under Alex Roberts, she was licensed in 2008.
Tracy is a member of St. Mary Church in Wooster. She is a member of the 555th Honors Detachment. She also belongs to the Young Professionals and Young Republicans of Wayne County. Tracy has received Two Air Force Achievement Medals, one Air Force Commendation Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. She enjoys soccer, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Ashley was born in Ashland, Ohio, where she graduated from Ashland High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from The Ohio State University. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. She is currently serving her funeral director and embalmer apprenticeship under Alex Roberts.
Ashley lives in Wooster and is the daughter of Teresa Schneider and Mike Buckingham. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashland. She enjoys attending OSU football games, playing the violin, spending time with her family and most of all, her cat Weasel.
Jenna was born in Glandorf, Ohio. She attended Ottawa-Glandorf High School, graduating in 2010. She attended The University of Cincinnati and then earned a Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2013. She is currently serving her embalmer and funeral director apprenticeship under Tracy Boorom.
Jenna currently lives in Wooster and is the daughter of Steve and Jan Schroeder. She is a memeber of the Glandorf St. Johns Church. She is a huge Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and has a strong passion for music. She enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, and being outdoors.
Lynn was born in Lodi and graduated from Northwestern High School. She joined Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel in May 2006. Lynn and her husband Geoff have been married for 23 years. After living in Rockford, Michigan for 20 years, they now live in Wooster. Their sons Shane and Garrett attend Smithville schools. Lynn enjoys spending time at her sons' sporting events.
Amanda was born and raised in Ashland. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1993, and North Central State College in 1999. She is a member of the Mifflin Lions Club, an EMT with the Mifflin Community Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the Ladies Auxillary. She has two children, Hunter and Hayley. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, attending her children's scouting and sporting events, scrap booking, cooking, gardening, and playing with her dogs.
Amy was born and raised in Friendly, WV and graduated Sistersville High School in 1988. She also attended the PRT Vocational Technical Center obtaining her Certificate in Business Administration her senior year. She joined East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in 2004 and the newest Roberts Funeral Home, East Lawn Chapel, Marietta in 2014. Amy and her husband Doug live in Reno, Ohio. She enjoys spending time with her family and visiting her son Dyrek who is currently serving in the US Air Force.
