Betty Jane Shire, 84, of Ashland, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Hospice of North Central Ohio, in Ashland.
Betty was born June 20, 1929 in Wellington, Ohio to Phillip and Wilma {Bennett} Roesel.
She married Harry H. Shire on November 12, 1946. He is deceased.
She worked as a fabricator at Pentair Water for 20 years. She retired in 1993.She was a member of the Eagles Club, VFW, and Amvets. She loved going to the casino and going to Bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children Gale Shire of Alaska, Gloria (James) Titchenell of Jeromesville, Dwayne Shire of Ashland, Roberta (Mike) Burroughs of Ashland, and Harry L. Shire of Ashland; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Phillip and Earl Roesel, and sisters Pauline Looks and Joann Roller.
