Billy Ray Jackson, 68 of Wooster, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
Graveside services will be Thursday September 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held.
Bill was born September 3, 1947 in West Virginia to the late Ray M. and Della M. {Jenkins} Jackson.
He was a 1965 graduate of Wooster High School. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Bill was a car salesman for many years and was also in insurance sales. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He especially enjoyed collecting and selling his "treasures."
Bill will be missed by many, including his two dogs, Roxie and Princess. Surviving are his five children, Cheryl (Ray) Stewart, Tommy (Stacy) Jackson, Steve (Chrystal) Michaels, Brian (Sarah) Jackson and Mindy (Chris) Jackson; special friend Melissa; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother Rick Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ron, and a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Schmucker.
Following the service, the family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of life in Billy's memory at the Highland Church of God, 669 W Highland Ave, Wooster, OH 44691.
