Donald Dye, 81, of Marietta, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Donald was born August 10, 1935 in New Cumberland, WV to Harold B. and Caroline {Clark} Dye.
He married Virginia Nonnenmacher on August 26, 1970.
He worked as a truck driver. Donald loved motorcycles, and was a life member of the American Motorcyclist Association and the Goldwing Road Riders Association.
Donald will be deeply missed by his wife Virginia; sons Jerry (Andrea) Dye and Jeffrey (Kathy) Dye; grandchildren Michelle (Ronnie) Talbott, Melissa (Brennan) Jones, Jeffrey Dye II, Timothy Allen (Megan) Dye, Natalie Kay (TJ) Wells.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gerald Dye.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 1 at 11 at the funeral home with Pastor Don Archer officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Strecker Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley or a charity of your choice.
