Doris E.Grossman, 77, of Wooster, died Thursday, Jan 29, 2009, at Westview Manor. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Doris was born January 29, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Lucy (Edwards) Reich and raised by her aunt and uncle Francis and Sadie Grassmann Sr. She married Alfred Holt Grossman on August 22, 1954.
She worked for United Telephone Company and then in food service. Doris was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Lamplighters. She enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening and cooking.
Doris will be deeply missed by her husband, childrenJoyce (Sam S.) Vura, Linda (Larry) Ungerer both of Wooster, and Frank (friend Grace Daye) Grossman of Big Prairie, grandchildren Sam A., Whitney, and Dalon Vura, Kevin (Kelly Covey) Ungerer, Valerie (Brett) Coble, and a great grandson Cody, sister Hazel (Delno) Orr of Apple Creek, and half-sister Donna Bagley of Mansfield.
Doris was preceded in death by her brother Edward Reich, and sister Lucille Means.
