Doris Porterfield, age 69, of Ashland, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in her home.
Friends may call Monday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Julie Phoms officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
Doris was born September 22, 1945 in Ashland, Ohio to William G. and Mildred {Keener} Zahniser.
She married James Porterfield on May 14, 2004.
She was a homemaker and worked for Hedstrom and Latex. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Doris will be deeply missed by her husband; children Raymond (Brenda) of Ashland, James (Debbie) of Ashland, Brenda (Terry) Hysong of Mansfield, Viola, Ricky (Karen), Joy Porterfield all of Ashland; grandchildren Sally, Christal, Tim, Colton, James, Isaiah, Bryan, Cody, Mikey, Sarah, Travis, Allison, Kyle, Mandy, Jason, Amy; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers Harvey, Robert.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John, Paul, sisters Mary, Betty.
