Florence E. Wall, 98, of Wooster died July 18, 2011 at Smithville Western Commons. Services will be Friday at 11:00am at Smithville United Methodist Church with Pastor Josh Arrington officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 6pm-8pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel in Wooster. Burial will take place at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at

Florence was born October 7, 1912 in Chester Township to James E. and Mabel A. {Lehr} Matty. She married Ira D. Wall on July 7, 1948. He died previously.
Florence worked for Wayne Insurance and The Ohio Dairy Association. She later owned an antique shop in Smithville with her husband. She was a member of the Smithville United Methodist Church and the Wayne Township Housekeepers Club.
Florence will be deeply missed by her children Don (Dori) Smedley of Wooster, James D. Wall of Wooster, Linda J. (Gordon) Bigger of Queensbury, NY, and Susan D. (David) Cartwright of San Rafel, CA; 5 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Florence was preceded in death by sisters Miriam Lehman, Jean Ringbom, and Opal Geitgey.
