Harold Byrd, 84, of Wooster, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 11, 2008. ?He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on June 8, 1923, to Robert A. and Virginia (Kirklin) Byrd. ?He served in the Army-Aviation Battalion. ?He retired from truck driving in 1985. ?

He will be deeply missed by his children, Gary (Sherry) Byrd, of Wooster, Ohio, Arthur (Rick) and (Kathi) Byrd, of Apple Creek, Ohio, and daughter-in-law and caregiver Cindy Byrd of Wooster, Ohio with whom he resided. ?Brothers Paul (Bass) Lewis, of Joliet, IL, Wade (Jack) and Bernice Byrd, of Taylor, MI, Raymond (Bernadine) Byrd, of Catlettsburg, Ky., Sister Ginger (Jerry) Moore of Keavy, Ky., nine grand children, 16 great-grand children and 6 great-great grand children.
Friends may call from 6:00-9:00 P.M., Monday, January 14, 2008 at Wilson Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky. Services will be held at Coxton Missionary Baptist Church, Coxton, Ky., at 11:00 A.M. January 15, 2008 with Reverend John Luttrell officiating. ?Internment will be at Mcdaniels-Putny Cemetery. ?
