Harold Waltz

Harold Glenn Waltz, 83, of Wadsworth, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Louis Stokes Veteran Hospital-Wade Park branch in Cleveland. Services will be Thursday, June 26 at 2:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Charles Whitlock officiating. Friends may call from 1-2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with military rites. Glenn was born December 20, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to Harold Donald and Nina (Harrison) Waltz. He held a BS in chemistry and psychology and had a thirst for knowledge. Glenn served in the US Navy during WWII and he married Ruby M. Patterson on July 30, 1969. He had been an employee of Wicks Lumber and Lowe’s in Stow and was a master handy man. Glenn was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church and Wadsworth American Legion. He will be deeply missed by wife, Ruby; daughter, Becky Waltz of Woodsfield, Ohio; sons Brandon and Josh Waltz, of Wadsworth; grandchild, Danny Harold Dayton currently serving in the US Navy and his wife Shawna of Woodsfield; step mother, Bea Waltz and sister Nancy Myers both of Bush Harbor, Pennsylvania. His father, mother and brother Earl Waltz preceded Glenn in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgewood Baptist church at 7891 Ridge Road, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281.
