Herbert "Herb" L. Johnson, 69, of Wooster, died Friday, February 2, 2007 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Services will be Monday at 11am at Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel with the Rev. Steve Kern officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster where military rites will be held. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
Herb was born March 5, 1937 in Altoona, PA to Palmer L. and Alice M. {Detweiler} Johnson. ?He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He married Carol Strickler on July 8, 1985.
He worked for the Wooster City Schools for 17 years, retiring in 1992. ?Herb was a member of the American Legion Post 68, Wooster. ?He was an avid card player and train collector.
He will be deeply missed by his wife; daughter Cindy (Jimmy) Foster-Campbell of Bedford, VA; and four grandchildren Ashley, Andrew, Daniele and Patrick; several nieces and nephews.
A brother Daniel and sisters Sally Gerry and Helen Powers precede him in death.
