Homer Rickett, 79, of Wooster died Thursday, February 07, 2008 at his residence. ?Services will be Monday at 2:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. ?Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held.

Homer was born December 17, 1928 in Tinsley, Kentucky to Hayes and Judy Marie (Patterson) Rickett. ?He married Bettie L. Earl on September 6, 1950. She died October 18, 2002.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 68 and the Amvets.

Homer will be deeply missed by his son Thomas (Sandy) Rickett of Massillon, grandchildren Chris and Faith Rickett and Leighann Wickham, 3 great-grandchildren Bryant, Lance and Brady Wickham, brothers Lowell Rickett and Murrell Rickett of Lima, Lonnie Rickett of Fourmile, Kentucky and sisters Alma Jean Refer of Pineville, Kentucky and Pat Michaels of Trussville, Alabama.

In addition to his wife and parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters preceded Homer.
