Jack Specht

Jack Specht, 84, of Wooster, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at West View Healthy Living.
Private services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Memorial services will be held at West View Healthy Living at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 408 Ninth Street SW, Canton, OH 44707 or West View Healthy Living at 1715 Mechanicsburg Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
Jack was born April 3, 1929 in Wooster, Ohio to Miles and Elsie {Stellar} Specht.
He went to Wooster High School and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Jack was in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.
He married Cynthia {Cahill} on March 15, 1953. She died in 2009.
Jack was hired by Higbee's Department Store in Cleveland, at the age of 17, making him the youngest storefront designer in the history of the company. He also worked at The Wooster Brush Company for over 20 years. Jack was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. Jack was known for always having a video camera in his hands. He enjoyed playing the piano, painting, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Jack will be deeply missed by children Douglas (Debbie) Specht of Orrville, Amy (Jeff) Breneman of Shreve, and Polly (Dave) Kreiling of Wooster; grandchildren Angela (Chris) Keith, Jason (Rena) Specht, J.D. and Jamie Breneman, and Michael Kreiling; sister Lois (Roger) Kiraly; sister-in-laws Donna Specht and Melinda {Cahill} Rettig.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia of 56 years, brother Paul and sisters Mary, Pat, Linda, and Jean.
