June 1, 1915 — March 2, 2010

June Elizabeth Hall, 94, of Ashland died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, following a short illness. June was born June 1, 1915 in Sterling to Harvey and Mary Etta Hartzler. She married Nelson Hall on August 21, 1938, who preceded her in death on February 2, 1979.


She served joyfully with Nelson, a Grace Brethrenpastor, in churches in Homerville; Long Beach and Tracy, Calif.; Albany,Ore; Richland and Toppenish, Wash; and Winona, Minn. She taught Sundayschool and Child Evangelism Fellowship; led women's ministries, includingSpice of Life in Toppenish; engaged in hospitality; and faithfullywitnessed for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was strongly committedto Grace Brother’s missionary effort and contributed to an orphanage inCentral African Republic. Surrounded by family members, she continued toshare her faith until the end. She expressed confidence in imminently beingwith Jesus in heaven, while continuing to encourage other in making certain they have the same assurance She expressed gratitude to the staff of Kingston ofAshland and Cambridge Home Health Care for their dedication to her. Shealso appreciated the staff and residents of Mill Run Place.


A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she issurvived by her children, Junelle (Ed) Bjerke of Albany, Ore., Jeanene Helfrichof Colorado Springs, Col., the Rev. Jonathan (Linda) Hall of Ashland, formerly of Wooster; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and onegreat-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Ferne Barnardand Mary Gail Yeakley; and two brothers, Merle and Roscoe Hartzler.


Roberts Funeral Home is handling arrangements. A service of celebration will be noon Friday, March 5,2010, at Ashland Grace Brethren Church, 1144 W. Main St., with the viewinghour beginning at 11:00a.m Memorial contributions may be made to Project Hope andCharity, which supports orphans in the Central African Republic.
