Lester L. Bess 75 of Loudonville passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at Colonial Manor in Loudonville. Lester was born November 2, 1933 in Sawyer City, PA. Lester was the son of James and Myrtle Sherwood Bess. Lester served in the National Guard and the US Navy. Lester was a retired truck driver. Lester enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Lester is survived by his children Brian Bess of Bradford, PA. Arthur Merritt of S.Carolina, Andrea Mohr of Salamanca, NY.Jaeme Gadley ofKane, PA. And sister and brothers Bonnie (Randy) McQuate of Ashland, Gary Bess of Fla, and Raymond (Marlene) Walton of Lodi eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and his special friend Maude. Two brothers and five sisters preceded Lester in death

Funeral service will be on Friday May 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Skipp Snell officiating at Roberts Funeral Home Ashland Chapel. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park where the Honor Guards Joint Veterans will hold military rites.
