Marilyn Joan McIntire, 78, died Saturday, October 24, 2009, at Orrville Pointe Nursing Home in Orrville.Services will be Tuesday at 3pm at the Smithville United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Peachey officiating.Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8pm at the Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster and one hour prior to the service at the church.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com . Memorial contributions may be made to the Smithville United Methodist Church, 243 N. Milton St., Smithville, OH 44677.


Jo was born October 7, 1931 in Mohicanville to Walter and Helen {Metcalf} Anderson.She married Everette “Mac” McIntire on October 27, 1950.


She was a beautician owning her own business in Smithville.After Mac returned from the Korean War, she was a homemaker and did office work in his business.Jo was a member of the Smithville United Methodist Church volunteering to make birthday cakes for Boys Village.She was also a member of the Smithville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.Jo was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and spending time at the lake.


Jo will be deeply missed by her children, Jackie McIntire and Kathy Noffsinger both of Orrville, Terry McIntire and Pam (Bill) Hartzler all of Smithville; grandchildren, David, Stephanie, Tina, Tara, Michael, Dustin, Jasalyn, Teeka and Kolstin; great-grandchildren, Rory, Camdon, Joshua and Madison; brothers and sisters June Boley of Ashland, John Anderson of Delaware, Ken Anderson of Mohicanville, Ada Henry of Ashland, Darwin Anderson of New London and Stanley Anderson of Ashland.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everette, and sisters Imogene Boley and Charlene Thompson.
