Norma R. Shearer, 77, of Wooster, died Saturday, January 07, 2012 at Wayne County Care Center, in Wooster.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Kammer officiating.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Norma was born June 29, 1934 in Perry Township, Ashland County to Richard and Ruby{Eagle} Kuntz.
Norma was a member of the first graduating class of Northwestern High School in 1952.
She married Robert E. Shearer on January 17, 1953.Norma worked at Wayne County Children Services, Federal Land Bank, and finally at Richard Shisler Nationwide Insurance. She was a member, organist and secretary of Reedsburg Lutheran Church for over 30 years. Norma was a member of the Chester Chatterettes Homemakers Club and enjoyed gardening, reading, counted cross-stitch, and spending time with her family.
Norma will be deeply missed by her husband; daughters Barbara (Mike) Stutz of Jeromesville, Roberta (David) Holcomb of West Salem, Judy Churella of Dallas, TX, and Brenda (Aaron) Everett of Wooster; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother William (Debbie) Kuntz of Ravenna; and sisters Mary Ellen Kirkendall of Cleveland, Becky (Claude) Grindstaff, Evelyn (Loren) Sigler both of Wooster, Janice (Alan) Donaldson of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister Naomi Ruth and a great-grandson Colton Churella.
