Priscilla Paxton

“Together Again”


The earthly journey of Priscilla S. Paxton concluded on Monday December 28th after 89 years. She has now begun her eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ where she will reunite with her husband Lloyd who preceded her to heaven more than 33 years ago. Since February 1, 1920 the earth has been blessed with the journey of Mrs. Paxton’s life. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana to Richard and Priscilla (Stych) Lingenfelter. Priscilla leaves a legacy of love and giving as exemplified by her devotion to her Christian life for almost 80 years. Just a few highlights of this journey include her long-standing memberships with the original Evangelical United Brethren Church of Anderson, IN and the Emanuel United Methodist Church of Pendleton, IN. She held leadership roles in the following volunteer organizations; Women’s Christian Temperance Union, Missionary Society, Home Economics Club, Pendleton Band Boosters, Girl Scouts of America and the Pendleton Historical Museum. She proudly served her country in the W.A.C. during WWII where she met her husband of 33 years.
Those inspired by her life and left to continue her legacy include her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Paul Donihue of Wooster, OH and her son and daughter-in-law, Sonny and Ruth Paxton of SC. The following generations to this legacy include Brad (Beth) Walker of Pendleton, IN., Chris (Therese) Paxton, of Anderson, IN., Kevin Walker of Anderson, IN., Bryan (Chris) Donihue, Grand Rapids, MI and Jeffrey (Jennie) Donihue, of Dayton, OH, grandsons and their spouses and seventeen great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00am at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory Lahm Chapel in Pendleton, IN with Rev. Paul Donihue and Rev. Jeffrey Donihue officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice and Pallative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
