Ray B. Hawkins, 80, of Apple Creek, died Friday August 16, 2013 at his residence.

Ray was born April 7, 1934 in Johnson City, TN to Carl Bruce and Lilly Mae {Arwood} Hawkins.
He served on the US Navy for 4 years. He worked for Gerstenslager, LUK, and was a carpet layer for Sears.
He married Bessie Tipton on December 18, 1954.
Ray was a member of the Apple Creek Methodist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and model cars.
Ray will be deeply missed by his wife; children Cynthia Vonallman of Apple Creek, Phillip Ray (Anita) Hawkins of Apple Creek; grandchildren Kristy Hershberger, Dereck, Curtis, Dieter and Matthew Vonallman, Brett and Brandon Hawkins; great-grandchildren Jewels Hershberger; sister Ann Shell.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Fred, Sam, Gene and Wayne.
