Richard Boreman

Richard E. Boreman, 86, of Wooster, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at Wooster Community Hospital. Services will be Monday at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, with Pastor Bill Eshelman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com .


Richard was born October 23, 1924, in Wooster, to C. Talmage and Mary Dale {Conn} Boreman. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1945 and fought in WWII.He married Virginia Bower on September 22, 1946.


Richard was a life long farmer and worked for Rubbermaid, Weigley Allis-Chalmers, Shearer Farm Equipment, and Tractor Supply Company for 50 years.He enjoyed bowling, camping, playing cards and spending time with his family.


In addition to his wife of 64 years, Virginia, Richard will be deeply missed by his children; Marcia Boreman of Massillon, Jeffery Boreman of Wooster, and Lori(Timothy) Battig of Wooster; grandchildren, Josh, Jamie, Alexzander, Wesley, Bradley; brother, Paul Boreman, sisters; Betty, Wanda, Pauline, and Marcella.


Richard was preceded in death by his daughter Joyce Ann, his parents and a brother Lester Boreman.
