Robert Eggerton

Robert (Bob) Doyle Eggerton 81, of Jeromesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday December 9, 2008 at Samaritan Regional Hospital in Ashland. He was born September 19, 1927 in Pavonia, Ohio the son ofFitch Sheldon and Myrtle Maxine (Watson) Eggerton. Robert has been married to his beloved wife Beverly Ann Candler for 56 years.He worked for F.E. Myers as a machinist for years. He was a member of Union 1297. Robert was also a stock car driver in the 1950’s Racing at Olivesburg Speedway and Ashland Fairgrounds. Robert will be deeply missed by his wife, Beverly Eggerton, and by his daughters Kristi Joann (Charles) Efaw of Jeromesville, Ohio, and Linda Sue (John) Durkin of Milford, IL. along with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.. A brother Sheldon Eggerton, Jr. and a sister Pauline Deibler preceded Robert in death. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. December 12, 2008 at Roberts Funeral Home – Ashland Chapel 1058 US 250 W., Ashland. Thom White of Jeromesville Christian Church will be Officiating. Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.
