Tressa Mae Rufener, 92, of Wadsworth, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at Magnolia Village, in Wadsworth.
Tressa was born February 24, 1922 in Monroe County, Ohio to Frank and Lula {Ensinger} Haldiman.
She graduated from Seville High School in 1940.
She married Freeman Rufener, Sr. on November, 20, 1941.
She hung wallpaper for 50 years. Tressa was a member of Freshwater Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, helping with 4-H, spending time with her family and church.
Tressa will be deeply missed by her children: Freeman (Maria) Rufener, Jr., Carolyn (George) Vinay, Nancy (David) McVicker; daughter in law Cathy Rufener; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Bill; sisters Betty, Marie, Phyllis.
Tressa was preceded in death by her husband Freeman, Sr., son Richard, brother Fred, sisters Sylvia and Nina.
Cremation has taken place, per Tressa's wishes. A memorial service will be held at Freshwater Community Church, 185 Humbolt Ave. Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 on July 26, at 11 a.m. Friends may call an hour before the service at the church. Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 25 at 10:00 AM.Memorial contributions may be made to Medina County Hospice, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.
