April 21, 1940 ~ September 20, 2019 (age 79)

Frank J. Tate, 79, of Wooster, died Friday, September 20, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital, after a brief illness, with his daughter at his side.   Friends may call Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.   Frank was born April 21, 1940 in Ripley Township, Ohio to Frank and Dora { Yarnell } Tate.

He married Patsy Dye on October 4, 1957.  She passed away on April 20,  2012.

  He attended Big Prairie High School, and worked as a truck driver for Harold D. Miller Supply and Lattavo Brothers. Frank served on the Shreve Village Counsel, and attended Bethel United Methodist Church.  He was a member of Ebenezer Masonic Lodge #33, and the 32nd degree Scottish Rite.  Frank was also a member of the Wooster Shrine Club, Wooster Elks, and Wooster Legion. He was an enthusiastic euchre player, an avid Cleveland Indians fan, he also enjoyed hunting and playing softball.  If you were ever in search of Frank, he could almost always be found playing euchre with his friends at the Legion!

 Frank will be deeply missed by his daughter Jennifer (Keith) Rickett; daughter-in-law Holly Tate;  grandchildren Cory (Kelsey) Tate, Kyle (Chloe) Tate, Tabitha (Joseph) Becerra, and Tyler White;  great-grandchild Taylor Ann Becerra;  and many nieces and nephews.

 Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife;  his son Jack Tate; his in-laws Elwood and Ruby Saltsman; and siblings Jim, Dean, Bill, Ardella, Fieta, and an infant sister.
