Shelby Jean Pence, 70, of Ashland, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Hospice of North Central Ohio surrounded by her loving family.
Shelby was born July 4, 1944 in Bainbridge, OH to the late Joseph and Dorothy {Bailey} Adams.
She married James "Jim" Pence on June 17, 1976.
She was best known to love her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed reading magazines and crossword puzzles.
Shelby is survived by her loving husband Jim, of 38 years; daughter Debra Kay (Keith) Gregory; sons Brian Lytle of New London and Eric Lytle of Ashland; grandchildren Nina, Jeana, Erin, Megan, Shelby Jo, Timmy, Andy, Jessie, Joey, Landon, Braydon; four great-grandchildren; sisters Francis Williams and Juanita Kinzer; brother Tom Gardner; her beloved dog and bird Evie and Pretty Bird.
Shelby was preceded in death by her brothers Bill Adams, Walt Adams and Joseph Adams Jr and Robert Adams; sisters Barbara Coe, Betty Pence and Mary Lou Hatfield; her beloved dogs that she loved dearly, Joey, Jacques, Napoleon, Pierre, Whinney and Chancey.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
