Alta D. Woodruff, 80, of Ashland, died Tuesday, July 28 at Riverside Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio after a brief illness. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Emblem Club #61 Scholarship Fund, PO Box #71, Ashland, OH 44805.
Alta was born April 14, 1935 in Cheyenne Agency, South Dakota to Jack and Irene (Arpan) Sutton. She married her husband Charles on August 21, 1971.
Alta was a devoted wife and mother. She was involved with Ashland Emblem Club #61. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and needlepoint.
Alta will be deeply missed by her husband Charles "Chuck" Woodruff, Daughter Jodi Santini, Son-in-law Jon Santini, Jr., and Grandson Jon Santini, III. Alta was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
