Mount Vernon, OH

Ann H. Lint, 100, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, at County Club Nursing Home, in Mount Vernon.

Ann was born December 7th, 1923, in Canton, OH, to Andrew and Anna {Pfeifer} Eder.

Growing up Ann learned Ballroom dancing in the Moonlight Dance Hall in Canton, OH.   She was dancing there on December 7th, 1941, when the announcement came of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Later, she married Ralph B. Ferry on June 1st, 1946.  She later married David L. Lint in Hawaii on August 1st, 1977 and they were married 41 years until his death.

During World War II she was one of the “Rosie the Riveters” tightening rivets on airplane wings at Timken Steel Co. in Canton, OH.  She later worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for the F&F Lumber company, while raising five children. She still loved Ballroom dancing.  Later in life, she was a cashier in Bellville.  She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, OH. During her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering for interchurch social services.  A wonderful cook and housekeeper, she made delicious cream puffs and banquet dishes as requested, especially spaghetti and meatballs and her famous lasagna!

Ann will be deeply missed by her family; children Lorraine Ferre, Debra (Roy) Strouse, Diane (Mark) Haip, daughter-in-law Pat Ferry (like a daughter); grandchildren Angela Johnson, William Strouse, Susanne (Brian) Kelley, Stephanie Ferry, Jessica Schneider, Joshua (Shae) Strouse, Jenna (Joe) Schadle, Jacob (Alice) Huang-Haip, Rebekah (Justin) Haip; and several great-grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband David L. Lint as well as Ralph, her sons William Michael Ferry, and Ralph A. Ferry, her parents and four brothers.  Joseph, Frank, Andrew, and William Eder.

A special thank you to the compassionate staff, also known as "earth angels", who provided support and care to “Miss Annie”, when she was no longer able to live independently. The Living Center, The County Club Rehabilitation Campus, Mount Vernon, OH, and Hospice of North Central Ohio.

A private family service will be held later with Pastor Dave Matos of Hospice presiding. The burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
