Barry Rand "Randy" Swaney

Barry Rand “Randy” Swaney, 84, of Marietta, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Crestwood Ridge Nursing Home.

Randy was born December 3, 1941 in Marietta, Ohio to Gerald and Eileen {Moore} Swaney. He was a 1959 graduate of Marietta High School. Randy served in the United States Army Reserves. Randy was the produce manager at the A & P store on Third Street and retired from Washington State College of Ohio.

He married Janet Biehl on June 24, 1962.

Barry was a member of Wagner Union Church.

Randy will be deeply missed by his wife Janet Swaney; sisters Diane Spindler and Geraldine (Tom) Yakubik; brother J.P. Swaney; brother-in-law Jim (Karen) Biehl; as well as several nieces and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by brother-in-law Dick Spindler.

Funeral services will be private for the immediate family, Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
