Margaret E. “Bettie” Caucci, 96 of Ashland passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Brethren Care in Ashland.

Bettie was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Scoriton and Sarah Jane (Malarkey) Anderson.

She worked for Owen Corning Fiberglass in the Pittsburgh sales office of U.S. Steel / American Bridge Development before moving to Ashland in 1972 with her beloved husband Al, who preceded her in death in 2002.

In Ashland, Bettie worked in the Auditor’s Office, Ashland Auto Club, Kastan’s Jewelers, Ashland Chamber of Commerce and the State of Ohio as a job specialist, retiring in 1999.

She was a member of the Republican Women’s Club, serving as Vice President one year, and belonged to the Ohio Republican State Central Committee. She also served as Vice President and then President of the local chapter of National Secretaries in Pennsylvania, Secretary and President of the Social Service Organization. Also held office in the Emblem Club.

Surviving are her nephew Dick Anderson, Austin, TX, niece Mary Lou Creely Yuma, AZ, nephews James Hudson, Pittsburgh, PA and Paul Hudson, Oregon, and special cousins Diana Hoffman and John Devlin, both of NC, Carol DiMenna, Linda Thatcher and Holly Pearson, all of FL, Bobbie Devlin, Tom Devlin, Kelley Diehl and Lori Myers, all of OH, Stacey Diehl of DE, Mindy Chisholm and Melanie Danko, both of Pittsburgh, Catherine Prendergast of MD, and Danny Devlin of NJ as well as her dear friend Randy Smith of Ashland.

Her brothers Robert Hudson, Ross Hudson, Scorton Anderson and Lt. Col. Charles Anderson and sisters Mary Jane Anderson and Ruth Anderson Bishop all preceded her in death. Donations may be made of Hospice or the donor’s choice.

Mass will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church Friday at 10:00 am, burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.  Roberts Funeral Home – Ashland Chapel is assisting with the arrangements. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
