Betty Arlen Ennis Taylor

January 15, 1931 — September 3, 2024

Wadsworth

Betty Arlen Ennis Taylor, 93, of Wadsworth, died September 3, 2024 at home. She was born January 15, 1931 in Concord, North Carolina to William Ennis and Ollie {Whitaker}. Betty loved living in North Carolina and blessed all of those who knew her with Southern cooking, especially pies, which she made and gave away en masse. She also loved to cook Sunday dinners with her family gathered around the table.

The saying "never met a stranger" defines her and her kind heart. She was very generous with her time and energy and routinely took in kids who didn’t have a home caring for them as long as they stayed in high school. She attended various Christian churches in her life, and maintained her faith. Her hobbies included bowling, bingo, cards, and taking road trips.

Betty worked at many different jobs in her life and was very proud to be a United Auto Workers' member, a blueprint expert at Bell Helmets, and eventually retired from Toro in California.

Betty will be deeply missed by her children Kenneth Meager, Judy Meager-Mata, Debra Meager, and Anita Travis; her step daughter Rene' Taylor Mack and step son-in-law Willy Mack; grandchildren Daniel Meager, Jessica Endsley, Jody Potts-Leiher, Janette Forro, Jeremiah Mata, Samantha Melick, Brooke Bonelli, Camilla Meager, Kayla Travis, Cassey Travis, and Bryson Wheeler; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jahala Meager. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert D Taylor, and daughter-in-law Barbara Meager.
