Billy Harper, 91, of Wooster, died Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Hospice of the Western Reserve, in Medina.
Billy was born April 23, 1934, in Elkview, West Virginia to Everett and Cleo “Polly” {Huffman} Harper.
Billy proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, he was an aircraft instrument technician in Tripoli, Libya in Africa.
He married Patricia Fay Mullins on June 28, 1957. She passed in 2013.
Billy retired from Halliburton Services after 30 years. He attended NewPointe Church in Wooster and Elkview Baptist Church in West Virginia. Billy was an avid golfer. Golf was his passion; he worked at the College of Wooster golf course for many years. He drove trucks for D + S Distribution Inc. and Rayco.
Billy will be deeply missed by his; children Jeff (Crystal) Harper of Lattasburg, Loren Harper (Chris) Davis of Medina and Richard (Sharon) Harper of Wooster; grandchildren J.T., Randy, Ariel, Kelly, Haley, Julia Harper, Jack Shaw; great-grandchildren Leila and Jason Harper.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Richard Harper of Prattville, Alabama; sisters Betty Melton of Elkview, West Virginia, and Mary Jane Gay of Naples, Florida.
Friends may call Monday, December 29 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
