Brenda Kay Eddy

Brenda (Hart) Eddy went to be in the arms of her loving husband on May 25, 2025 with her family and loved ones by her side while fighting her battle with cancer to the end.

She was born on August 23, 1962 in Athens, Ohio the daughter of Fred and Mary Hart.

A former employee of W.M.C.A.P. Brenda loved helping her co-workers and making them laugh, spending time with grandkids, making them laugh and driving them crazy at the same time. She was strong, ornery, and funny with a heart of gold. She loved spending time with her significant other, Terry Ward, of Newport, Ohio, going fishing, dancing, back road riding, and taking trips to Elkins, West Virginia.

She is survived by her daughter, Teara Harper of Marietta, Angie Earley of Florida, and Alanna (Tom) Greathouse of Columbus. 5 grandchildren, Austin, Aaron, Aamon, Trenton, and Gracyn and 1 great grandchild, Evelyn. One sister, Karen Wemmer of Athens, Ohio, one brother Fred (Pauline) Hart of Athens. 2 sisters-in-law Regina Eddy of Columbus and Kathryn (Doug) Jacobs of Bay City, MI. Several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Fred and Mary Hart, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Kent Eddy, sister Freda Ann Hart, and a twin sister Linda Bowen. Also, her father and mother-in-law JR and Grace Eddy, and sister-in-law Teresa Roberts.

Funeral Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May30, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta, Ohio with Nate Minney officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com
