Bryan Keith Buhrts, age 64, passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2026. Born on May 16, 1961, Bryan was from Columbus, Ohio, and made his home in Howard, Ohio, while spending his winters in Palmetto, Florida.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jane Buhrts.
Bryan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, family man, and friend. He married the love of his life, Kathy, in 2017, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. He is survived by his wife Kathy Buhrts; his children, Amanda (Buhrts) Jackson and husband Jake, Desireea Dalton, and Maverick Dalton; and his beloved grandchildren, Adelynn, Jordan, and Vanessa.
Bryan dedicated 38 years of his career to Crane Plastics/TimberTech, where he served as Senior Director of Research & Development before retiring. He was respected not only for his work ethic and leadership, but also for the relationships he built throughout his career.
Bryan enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved fishing, golfing, smoking meat for family gatherings, watching Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football, following racing, and spending time on the golf course. He also had a special love for dogs, especially his loyal companion, Zeke, who rarely left his side. More than anything, Bryan loved being surrounded by the people and pets he cared about.
Those who knew Bryan will remember him for his caring heart, outgoing personality, charisma, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and loved, and he leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever. Bryan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends may call Friday May 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Mount Vernon Chapel, services will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Celebration of life is planned for his birthday, Saturday May 16th. Details to follow. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
