Cecil Ralph Crawford Jr.

Cecil “Sarge” Crawford Jr, 86, of Apple Creek, passed away October 18, 2026.

Cecil was born January 22, 1940, in Millersburg, Ohio to Cecil and Reba {Brown} Crawford.

He graduated from Millersburg Highschool and went on to earn his associate’s degree. Cecil also proudly served in the United States Army.

He married Nancy on September 18, 2013.

Cecil retired in from the Wayne County Sheriff’s department after 23 years of loyal service. He enjoyed traveling to Vegas to gamble and taking his wife places she had never been.

Cecil will be deeply missed by his wife; son William Douglas “Doug” Crawford, step-son Michael Weeks and lots grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his children Michael Derwin and Wayne Anthony Crawford, sister Rosemary Caskey, Nelle Vinyard and Maxine Graff.

Friends may call Friday October 23, 2026 from 11 to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Cecil-Crawford) with Chaplain Daron Butler officiating.
