Charles Barton Goldsmith

Charles Barton Goldsmith, 92, of Ashland, passed away January 20, 2026 at The Good Shepherd, in Ashland.

Charles was born June 27, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank John William (A Titanic Survivor) and Victoria Agnes {Lawrence} Goldsmith.

Charles served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1955.

Charles worked at Abbott Laboratories for over 30 years. Charles enjoyed singing, dancing, watching movies, hunting, and fishing. In Maine he loved driving his truck, boating in our Canoat (Canoe), critter watching, and spending time with nature.

Charles will be deeply missed by his friends Michelle and John Sheehan; children Tom, Larry, Kathy, Michael Sean, and Michael Richard; one granddaughter on the way Twyla Dawn; and brother Frank Goldsmith III.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Victoria, and brother James Goldsmith.
