Charles Richard Longsdorf, 82, of Nova, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.
Charlie was born November 13, 1943, in Lodi, Ohio to Blake and Genevieve {Ricketts} Longsdorf.
He married Sarah Duffner on November 25, 1967; they had been married for 54 years before she passed in 2022.
He worked at Caraustar (Garbers) for over 30 years. Charlie enjoyed antique cars and model airplanes. Charlie loved to ride scooters, four-wheelers, and side-by-sides. He kept himself busy, he liked to tinker in the garage and work on his numerous projects. Family was everything to Charlie, he loved to watch his granddaughter Melissa play softball and spend time with his family. He will be remembered as a sweet and gentle man.
Charlie will be deeply missed by his children Jodie Miller and Kevin Longsdorf; granddaughter Melissa Miller; brother Fred Longsdorf; sisters Nancy McBride, Janet (Reed) Stone, Helen Wesner; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers-in-law Glen McBride and Richard Wesner, and sister-in-law Fran Longsdorf.
Friends may visit Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
