Charles Dudley Zemelka

Charles (Chas) Dudley Zemelka, 56, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away August 30, 2026. Chas was born April 2, 1970 in Massillon, Ohio to Micheal and Alcyone (Dudley) Zemelka. 

Chas graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1988, promptly joining the Marine Corps where he served for four years. He then joined the Army in 1994 where he proudly served as part of the 101st Division Artillery (DIVARTY). He then served with the Army National Guard Civil Support Team (CST) before finally transferring to the Inspector General’s (IG) office where he retired in 2014. 

Chas loved soccer, from playing, to watching, and even coaching, especially his kids. He had an appreciation for classic cars and was a member of the Green Knights motorcycle club. Chas had a passion for art and was primarily a talented painter and sketch artist. 

Chas will be deeply missed by his children: Charles E. Zemelka, Thaddeus (Tad) Zemelka (Angelica), Derick Zemelka, and Jaycee Kabasky, his sisters: Misty Barone (Richard), and Mindy Hoffman (David); grandsons: Landon and Emery Zemelka; many nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends. Chas was preceded in death by his parents Alcyone Yeager and Micheal Zemelka. 

Friends and family may visit September 25th from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville, Ohio. Memorial service will immediately follow and burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held. Meeting for the funeral procession must be done at the funeral home. Reception will follow at the Moose Lodge 860, 12527 Sheets Rd, Rittman, OH.
