Christopher Kocaj

Christopher Kocaj, 74, passed away July 21, 2026 at Sanctuary of Wadsworth.

Chris was born December 24, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to Leonard and Jane {Latka} Kocaj.

He earned his bachelor's degree in engineering before beginning a long career with Bridgestone/Firestone, where he worked for many years until his retirement.

He married Riki Dewitt-Kocaj on June 10, 2000.

Christopher found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He had a passion for gardening, and he enjoyed collecting comic books, a hobby that brought him joy throughout the years.

Chris will be deeply missed by his wife; children Jessica Cartwright (Jace) and Nathan Kocaj; stepdaughters, Caitlin (Michael) Thomas, Rachel (Getty) Darin, and Holly Wulf (Jordan); three grandchildren; his siblings, Charmaine Lipa, Terry (Yvonne) Kocaj, Bruce Kocaj, and his beloved dog Hera.

He was preceded in death by his brother Brian Kocaj.

Friends may call July 28, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville.
