Clarence McBride

Clarence Duane McBride, 91, of Jeromesville, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

A private burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be held.   Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Clarence was born July 5, 1928 in Nankin to Clarence Henry and Dorothy {Atterholt} McBride.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

He married Marilyn M. Wells on October 1, 1948.

Clarence retired from Premium Building Products.  He was a member of Nova United Methodist Church. Clarence was a member of the American Legion in Indiana and was a volunteer at the Nova Fire Department. He loved golfing, fishing, mushroom hunting, carpentry and tinkering.

Clarence will be deeply missed by his wife of 71 years; children Denise (Dave) Baker of Ashland, Debra (Rick) Yarger of Nova, Cheryl (Greg) Smith of Columbus, and Michael (Danielle) McBride of Ashland; grandchildren Christopher (Amy) Baker, Alison (Isaiah) Durso, Karla Archer, Justin (Kim) Archer, Karey Campbell, Kyle (Karina) Campbell, and Isabella (Justin) Bethea; great-grandchildren McKenna, Troy, Gage, Cole, Weston, Sydney, Riley, Mason, and Wyatt; brother Dale McBride of Florida; sister Mary Lou (Larry) Foster of Nova.

Clarence was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Campbell and his brothers Ralph, Harold and Glenn.
