Daryl Leroy Swinehart

Daryl Leroy Swinehart, 85, of Overton, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice.

Daryl was born March 19, 1940, in Holmes County to James and Catherine (Daugherty) Swinehart.

He married Linda Campbell on September 4, 1981. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2017.

Daryl worked for more than 20 years at Gerstenslager in Wooster. He enjoyed his early retirement by working on mechanics, going to auctions, and making new friends. Daryl had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his playful, joking nature.

Daryl is survived by his children Bonnie (Paul) Shirey of Shreve, Becky Curren of Wooster; grandchildren Thomas and Bryan Curren, Matthew Monahan, Angelina (Michael) Zimnoch; along with several nieces and nephews.

Daryl was preceded in death by his wife, brothers Clarence and Edward Swinehart, sisters Beatrice Swinehart, Emma Boley, Irene Flanagan, and Ilene Austin.

Friends may call Wednesday, December 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster at a later date. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
