David Micah Porr

David Micah Porr, 53, of Wooster, passed away unexpectedly at his residence after a prolonged illness.

David was born January 22, 1973, in Wooster to Michael and Janice {Poulson} Porr.

He graduated from Smithville High School in 1991 and attended college in North Carolina.

David enjoyed music, movies, his cat, Bonk and spending time with his sons. David was a very creative person. He knew how to hang drywall, paint rooms, repair cars and problem solve when necessary. He loved his cars and Harley, going to concerts, enjoying rock music, gaming and watching movies.

David's previous employment in North Carolina was with Caterpillar, Inc., until that division relocated out of state. He then received Biotech Certification and was employed by Grifols, manufacturer of plasma-derived products (previously Talecris Therapeutics) until he relocated to Ohio.

David found employment with Wooster Brush, International Paper and finally with Artiflex in Wooster.

David will be deeply missed by his children Braden and Damien Porr of North Carolina as does their mother Erin, his mother Janice (Dudley) Bartrum of Fredericksburg; aunts and uncles: Curtis (Kay) Porr, Fred (Roni) Porr, Sandy (Larry) Allen, Patti Doshak, Pat (Larry) Wood, and Lori (Fred) Peppard. Stepsister (Dudley's) Laura Helms and stepbrother (Janice's) Steven Lazette; and many cousins.

David was preceded in death by his father, Michael.

Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 761, Wooster, OH 44691 to defray expenses.
