David Ray Wright

David Ray Wright, 70, of Marietta, passed on Friday, August 29, 2025 at University Hospital in Cleveland.

David was born August 7, 1955 in Marietta to Robert and Mary {Becker} Wright.

He graduated from Frontier High School in 1973

David married Bonnie Line on August 22, 1976.

He worked for Coca-Cola Bottling as a driver and in sales for 30 years, retiring in 2020. He attended Porterfield Baptist Church where he enjoyed serving as an usher. He enjoyed auctions, antiquing, reading and puzzles. David loved to travel to visit his kids and grandkids, and spending time with his favorite dog Stella.

David will be deeply missed by his wife Bonnie Wright; children Christina (Ryan) Longfellow, Curtis (Naomi) Wright and Jennifer (Shane) Angle; grandchildren Audrey and Zachary Longfellow, Gavin and Garrett Wright, Ava Lafferty, Tyler (Kaydence), Nathaniel and Austin Angle. Also, one grandchild on the way, Avery Ray Wright; brother Ronald (Julia) Wright; sisters Marian Russell and Judy (Ed) Miller.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his siblings John Wright, Rose Casto and Patricia Kilmer.

Friends may call Friday, September 5th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastors Johnny Wright and Eric Lesson. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
