Diana Marie Carpenter

Diana Marie (Ott) Carpenter, 81, joined the Lord on March 3, 2026. She was born November 18, 1944, to Elnora and Delbert Ott.

Diana graduated from Smithville High School in 1962. She worked many years at Crown in Wooster and was known as a dependable and dedicated employee. Her faith was important to her, and she attended East Chippewa Church of the Brethren.

In her free time, Diana enjoyed painting and working on gardening projects. She appreciated the simple things in life and especially valued time spent with her family. Diana also enjoyed watching football, reading novels, and lunches out with her many friends.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Kaitlyn) Carpenter; daughter, Jennifer (Roy Barnett) Carpenter; sisters, Janice McGreevy, Sharon Dice, and Nancy Carr; grandchildren, Haidyn Carpenter, Jensyn Carpenter, Chantelle (James Dunn) Dana, Justin Dana, and Bryce Carpenter; and blessed with great-grandchildren, Hailey Dana, Evelyn Dana, Izaak Dana, and Arabelle Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Arthur Carpenter, former mayor of Smithville.

Family and close friends may gather for a short service to honor Diana’s life at Roberts Funeral Home, 7067 Cleveland Rd Wooster, OH on March 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Huffaker officiating, followed by a short service in Smithville Cemetery at 5741 Akron road, Smithville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
