Donna Adams

Donna L Adams, 76, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in her home peacefully in her sleep after a long struggle with kidney and heart disease surrounded by family.

Donna was born in Barnesville, Ohio on November 4, 1944, to Leland and Ethel (Mellot) Cook.

Donna was preceded in death by the love of her life Fred A, Adams, who passed on December 7, 2017.

Donna moved to Florida in 1977 and worked at Sears and Eaton Corporation. She moved back to Ashland in 2006 upon her retirement from Eaton Corporation. Donna was a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan and loved many other sports. She also enjoyed reading, bowling, and crossword puzzles, she traveled to many places in the U.S. with bowling tournaments. Her love of family was by far her driving force. Donna had a large heart and would always give of herself whenever the family needed help. She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Jerry Adams of Florida; her mother Ethel Carpenter, sisters Joyce and Jean Thompson, Brenda Cook, Debbie Holstein, Stepsister Charlotte Ferguson, and stepbrother Fred Carpenter. She also leaves behind 9 nieces and nephews, 19 Great- nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great-nieces.

Private family services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, with Pastor Ted Mason officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
