Dorothy Arleene Vanfossen

Dorothy Arleene Vanfossen, 91, of Wooster, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster following a period of declining health.

Arleene was born March 13, 1932, in Mt. Erie, Illinois to Hayward and Alice (Long) Marvel.

She married Roy W. Vanfossen Jr. on February 2, 1951. He died in 2010.

Arleene will be deeply missed by her children Paul (Jane) Vanfossen of Wooster, Carl (Elaine) Vanfossen of Canal Winchester, OH; grandchildren Nathan Vanfossen of West Salem, Jaime (Chris) Fozzard of Carbondale, IL, and Adam Vanfossen of Wooster, Kelly (Doug) Ward of Pickerington, and Stephen  (Melanie) Vanfossen of Columbus; great granddaughter Carlie Ward; brother-in-law David (Ruth Ann) Vanfossen of Godrey, IL. Arleene will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy.
