Edgar E. Dorsey

Edgar Erwin Dorsey, 89, of Dalton passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

He was born February 5, 1934, in Cumberland, Maryland to Erwin D. and Fay Violet {Hatt} Dorsey.
Edgar proudly served in the US Army. Upon his return home, he married his wife Barri L. Nesbitt. She survives.

Edgar worked at Rubbermaid for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles. He and his wife wintered in Ocala, Florida for 20 years, there he enjoyed playing pool.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 61 years, Barri; children Eddie Dorsey of Millersburg, David (Sheila) Dorsey of Shreve, and Cheryl (Jerry) Galbraith of Millersburg; grandchildren Zack, Matt, and Chrystal Dorsey, Shelbie Karnes, Corey (Stephanie) and Collin (Abby) Galbraith, and Alley Dorsey; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother Robert Dorsey.

In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his brother Harry Dorsey, and sisters Betty Cutlip and Roseann Mills.

Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Services will follow at 11 at the funeral home.
