Ella Marie Harrell

Ella Marie Harrell, 90, formerly of Marietta, Ohio passed away Friday, August 14, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, New York. She was born December 10, 1935 in Marietta, Ohio to Charles and Marie {Tornes} Caldwell.

Ella graduated from Marietta High School in 1954. She then worked at B.F. Goodrich as a Laboratory Technician and Statistical Clerk until 1971.

Ella married Edgar Gene Harrell on December 14, 1968. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, she found joy and purpose in life through gardening, dancing, baking, and taking care of those she loved. She was strong in faith and a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.

Ella is survived by her daughters, Jennifer H. (Alan) Jonason and Christine A. (Craig) Korotko; grandchildren Emily M. Jonason, Joshua E. Jonason and Somer A. (Chris) Sumpter; and great-grandchildren Roxie A. Sumpter and Ryan M. Sumpter.

In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edgar G. Harrell; her sister, Mary Ann Brockmeier; two nephews and one niece.

Friends may call Tuesday, August 25th from 11 a.m. until noon at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral service will follow at noon with Fr.
