Esther Puglisi

Esther Lucille Puglisi, 99, of Wadsworth, passed away October 27, 2025 at Barberton Hospital.

Esther was born April 18, 1926 in Seville, Ohio to Samuel and Stella {Gerig} Detwiler.

She married Joseph Puglisi on December 7, 1946.

Esther worked at the Ohio Injector Company after high school which is where she met her husband Joseph. She was a member of Seville United Methodist Church. Esther enjoyed sewing and doing 1000-piece puzzles. She also enjoyed winter trips with her husband to warmer climates.

Esther will be deeply missed by her children Salvatore (Debbie) of Barberton, Esther Maria (Dan) Miller of Wadsworth; grandchildren Ben and Martin Leatherman, Michele Perry, Paul Joseph and Anna Puglisi Jaquet, Tim and Jason Miller; great-grandchildren Sophia, Bella, Kami, Rena, Kyrah, Margo, William, Josephine, Gabe; brother Richard F. Detwiler; and sister Norma Jean Allen.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joesph, daughter Jo Leatherman, siblings Joseph, Robert, Earl, Ralph, James, Melvin, Charles, and classmate Norma Irene Detwiler.

Friends may call Saturday November 1st from 11 to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Esther-Puglisi) with Rev. David McGrath officiating.
