Ethel R. Anderson

January 18, 1938 — December 31, 2022

Wadsworth

On December 31, 2022, Ethel Rouine Anderson of Wadsworth, Ohio, departed to Heaven where she may finally rest in the arms of The Lord and her loving late husband, Gene T. Anderson, who passed on July 21, 2018.

Born January 18, 1938 in Dover, Tennessee to Thurman and Allie (Jackson) Bryant, Ethel grew to be a wonderful and honest woman as she chose to dedicate her life to The Lord, family, and friends. She faithfully attended a Nazarene church in Tennessee and was baptized on her knees in a creek prior to moving to Ohio to marry Gene on June 19, 1957. Together, the two of them attended The First Assembly of God and began their bonded life journey of 61 incredible years. During that time, Ethel devoted her life to growing and nurturing her family, maintaining a warm and loving home, and developed multiple invaluable passions that will be greatly missed by many. Childhood Tennessee era storytelling, fruitful gardening and the annual canning of goods from Her and Gene’s amazing gardens, homestyle southern cooking, propagating beautiful flowers, thrifting, frequenting flea markets, collecting glass kitchenware, her kitty Boogie, and loving her grandchildren were some of her greatest pleasures in life.

Ethel will be deeply missed and her legacy will continue living through her children Cheryl Anderson and Dave of Canton, OH; Lyn (Linda) Anderson of Ontario, CA; Michele Delfs of New Franklin OH; and Michael Anderson of Wadsworth, OH. Her grandchildren, Nicole Delfs; Alyssa (Kyle) Bowling; Michaela Anderson; Jason Anderson; sister Elizabeth Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews will forever love and miss her too.

Friends may call Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville, OH. Services will follow at 12:00PM and burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Tributes may be made online at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
