Evelyn C Smith

Evelyn C. Smith, 94, of Wooster, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 14, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Evelyn was born May 26, 1931, in Wooster to Carlo and Nicolina {Tomassetti} Nolletti. She graduated from Wooster High School and married Charles R. “Dick” Smith on July 29, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2018.

She worked for Rubbermaid, Inc. for over 20 years, retiring in 1987. Evelyn was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the FCRV Camping Club. She enjoyed singing and playing music in nursing homes and watching sports with Dick. During retirement, Evelyn and Dick spent several winters in the Fort Myers, FL area.

Evelyn will be deeply missed by her children, Ronald K. (Deb) Smith and Denise (Christopher) Brown, all of Wooster; granddaughters Morgan (Chad) Stryker of Wooster, Brittany (Jarrett) Ault and Michelle (Josh) Helms; great grandchildren Ryland and Hadley Stryker, Alaina, Caroline, Colton, and Aden Ault, Emma, Ellie, and Easton Helms; siblings John Nolletti, and James Nolletti, all of Wooster Lucille Gordon of Wichita Falls, TX.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Smith; and siblings Pasquale Nolletti, Louis Nolletti, Catherine Gallo, Virginia Kasper, Rosemary Angrisani, Dominic Nolletti, Arthur Nolletti, Elizabeth Laprocina, Angeline Bonewitz, Ralph Nolletti, Antoinette Clouse, Mary Bartley, and infant sister Theresa Nolletti.
