Frances Kendall

Frances Kendall, 93, of Orrville, passed away August 25, 2026.

Frances was born October 3, 1932 in Marshallville, Ohio to Daniel and Vera {Crites} Werntz.

She married Dale Kendall on May 14, 1958.

She was a long time member at Marshallville United Methodist Church. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting. She loved the hunt for teacups, carnival glass, Christmas villages and other treasures. What she loved more than collecting her treasures was her family.

Frances will be deeply missed by her children Monica (Jeff) Drown, Michael (Marsha) Kendall, Richard (Regina) Kendall, Luann (John) Ellsessar; son-in-law Tim McGuire; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Rhonda McGuire; grandsons Michael Carr, Michael Ellsessar and Timothy Ellsessar ; brothers Myron and Walter Werntz; and sisters, Martha Werntz, Emma Huffman, Vera Madding, Ruth Radcliffe, Florence Stevenson, Hazel Wolgamott and Ellen Shidler. Funeral services will be August 26, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with John Ellsessar officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
