Freda Keiser

Freda L. Rishel-Watson Keiser, 88, of Ashland, died Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Crystal Care, in Ashland.

Freda was born June 27, 1933 in Ashland to Clayton and Lena {Nelson} Rishel.

She married Roger D. Keiser on April 1, 1960.  He survives.

She worked for Peter Pan Playhouse and Headstrom for many years. Freda was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Savannah. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, going to women’s bible study, helping with the church bus ministry, and worked with Map ministries. Freda devoted her life to the Lord and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed taking long walks, feeding the birds and squirrels, as well as gardening.

Freda will be deeply missed by her husband Roger; children Debbie (Ed) Walsh of MO, Craig (Linda) Watson of AZ, Nancy (Jim) Weilnau of OH, Shelley (Glenn) Kosiorek of TN, and Rod (Melissa) Keiser of AL; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, first husband James Watson, who passed in 1957, son Curtice Watson, who passed in 1953, son James Watson who passed in 1957.

Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland.  Services will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. with the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah with funeral services to follow with Pastor John Bouquet officiating.  Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 575 US-250, Greenwich Ohio 44837.
